Kenneth L. Larson, age 81, of Little Falls, died March 15, 2018.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 12:00 PM at the Camp Ripley Chapel north of Little Falls. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. Please bring photo ID to enter Camp Ripley. The military rites will be conducted bythe Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and the LittleFalls VFW Post #1112.
Ken was born on July 28, 1936 to Lambert and Mabel Larson in Little Falls, MN. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer, the U.S.S. Boyd. Ken was a 30-year retiree from Northwest Airlines. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Twins and Vikings; fishing, playing card games, and socializing with family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving companion of 20 years, Fairy Mae Okerman; his children, Valerie (Jason), Jeff, and Mark; his grandchildren, Heather Allen (Doug) and Corey (Michelle); his great-granddaughters Piper and Peyton; his siblings, Dorothy Reese and Gerald; his sister-in-law Doris; many loving nieces and nephews; the Okerman family; and many dear friends he considered family at Bridgeway Senior Housing.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Lambert, Robert, and Donald; and his half-sister, Irene Stone.
Kens family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Krista and Julie of CHI Hospice for their care and support throughout this journey; and our immense gratitude to the St. Cloud VA Hospice caregivers for the compassionate end of life care they provided.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred for a veterans bench or to a charity of the donors choice.
