Yvonne Mead

Yvonne Mead, age 76, of Sartell, MN, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Royalton, MN. Yvonne was born on June 2, 1936 in St. Cloud, Minnesota the daughter of Francis "Roy" & Maude (Burton) Antil. She grew up in Minneapolis, MN, where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Leroy Mead on March 29, 1952. The couple made their home in Minneapolis where they lived until 1971 when they moved to Rice, MN. Yvonne worked for Jack Frost egg plant in Rice. She then worked as a caregiver for a number of years before retiring. The couple later moved to Sartell where Yvonne resided at the time of her death. Yvonne enjoyed knitting, crafts, puzzles, playing the organ, and spending time with her family. She was also very fond of her pets, especially "Little Girl". Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rick (Catherine) Mead of Buckman, MN, David Mead of Sleepy Eye, MN, Karen (Steve) Yamry of St. Cloud, MN and Gary (Sandy) Mead of Morris, MN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Welsh of Kansas. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Francis & Maude Antil; husband, Leroy; sisters, Betty Johnson, Sharon Cortez and Mary Officer.
