Wayne Edward Savage

November 20, 1927 — October 16, 2010

Wayne "Bud" E. Savage, age 82, dear husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and life long resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at First United Church in Little Falls the Rev. Damon Heitmann, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Monday at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Tuesday at First United Church. Wayne "Bud" Savage was born to Verne & Louise (Schmidt) Savage on November 20, 1927 in Little Falls, MN. He lived in Little Falls his entire life. He attended the Brickyard School and Little Falls High School graduating in 1945. Wayne "Bud" entered the United States Army in March of 1950. He served in the Pacific Theater being stationed in Japan. He received an honorable discharged in 1952. Wayne married Beverly Gish at the Methodist Church in Little Falls on June 13, 1959. Wayne worked at the Little Falls Granite Works for many years and at the Morrison County Sheriff's Department as a Dispatcher from which he retired in November, 1989. Wayne was a member of First United Church and the Little Falls V.F.W. Post #1112. In earlier years, he enjoyed many hours of fishing with his best pal, Dave Griffith. He enjoyed sports very much. Wayne is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Mark Savage & his wife, Pam of North Branch, MN; grandsons, Mitch (Missy) Savage of Englewood, CO and Marty Savage of Englewood, CO and 12 nephew & nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister & brother-in-law, Burdette & Bill Moss and his brother-in-law, Ray VonderHaar. Military rites will be conducted by the Camp Ripley Honor Guard.
