Walter Gorgoschlitz

Walter G. Gorgoschlitz, age 82, of St. Paul, MN, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. A Family Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Assembly Lane 2. Walter was born on December 13, 1930 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Joseph & Lillian (Bily) Gorgoschlitz. He grew up in St. Paul where he attended school. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 31, 1950 and served in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged on August 13, 1952. Walter enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, watching football and baseball games, and spending time in Bullhead City, AZ. Survived by children, Walter Gorgoschlitz of Ingleside, TX, Wanda Gorgoschlitz of Pine River, MN, and Diana (Tom) Theis of Buckman, MN; two grandchildren, Joel Roggenkamp and Amy Roggenkamp; great-granddaughter, Nicole Scott Thorsen and former spouse, Eleanor. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Lillian Gorgoschlitz; brothers, Robert and Joseph Gorgoschlitz and grandson, Brandon Gorgoschlitz.
