Wallace Mattock

Wallace "Wally" Mattock, age 87, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by Knights of Columbus Office of the Dead at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Thursday from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. Wallace Raymond Mattock was born on June 6, 1925 in Waite Park, Minnesota the son of Raymond & Ethel (Kempf) Mattock. Following his schooling, he worked for Northern Pacific & Burlington Northern Railroads and Community Federal Savings and Loan in Little Falls. He was united in marriage to Leona Robichaud on February 5, 1949 at St. John the Baptist Church in Dayton, MN. The couple made their home in Elk River and later moved to Little Falls. Wally enjoyed reading, golfing and bowling. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, the Knights of Columbus, Little Falls Lions Club and the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leona of Little Falls; children Raymond Mattock of Sartell, MN, Mary (Jeff) Milbert of Cold Spring, MN, Michael (Arla) Mattock of Maryville, Missouri; grandchildren, John Mattock, Dominic Mattock, Will Mattock, Monica (Blake) Sloan, Marjorie (Ryan) Homstol, and Matthew (Kelsey) Milbert and great-grandchildren, Mila and Cael Sloan and Elin & Karsen Homstol. Wally was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathryn Mattock and brother, Warren Mattock.
