Veronica Karash

Veronica Marie Karash, 89 year old of Royalton, MN died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN with Father, Laurn Virnig officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton, MN and from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Rosary will be said at 4:30 PM followed by parish prayers at 6:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Veronica was born April 13, 1919 in Buckman, MN to the late Anton and Elizabeth (Sand) Hesch. She attended country school through the 8th grade in the Buckman area. She was united in marriage to Leo Karash on September 30, 1947 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. Fronie Karash and husband Leo farmed south of Royalton, MN in Benton County. The farm was located on the Mississippi River. She moved to Royalton, MN in 1975 following the death of Leo and resided there for the next 24 years. She has resided at the Lutheran Care Center since 1999. Veronica's coffee cakes were always enjoyed by everyone. She enjoyed working outside on the farm, gardening, baking, visiting and visiting on the phone. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, the Christian Mothers and the church funeral association. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Anthony "Tony" Hesch and wife, Marlene, of Waite Park, MN; sister-in-law, Eileen Paulson of Sauk Rapids, MN; brother-in-law, Edmund Janish of Little Falls, MN. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Anton "Tony" and Elizabeth (Sand) Hesch; husband, Leo Karash in 1975; siblings, Michael Hesch, Math Hesch, Ted Hesch, Henry Hesch, Katherine Sufka and Rose Janish.
