Troy A. Thomsen

Troy Thomsen, age 44, of Buckman, MN, died on Friday, August 1, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN with Fr. Nicholas Landsberger officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, August 6th all at the church.

There will be a parish prayer service on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 5th at the church.

Troy Alan Thomsen was born on September 1, 1969 in Little Falls, MN, the son of Wayne & Gloria (Tretter) Thomsen.He grew up in the Lastrup where he attended grade school.He graduated from Pierz Healy High School, Class of 1988.Troy continued his education at Brainerd Community College.Troy was employed at Gohman Construction out of St. Joseph, for 21st Century Genetics as a sales rep, and as a herdsman for the Stangl Dairy.He then purchased and operated the Ehrlichmann Structural Movers for the past 11 years with his business partner, Randy Jonas. He was united in marriage to Michelle Prom on September 25, 1993 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MN.The couple made their home west of Buckman where they raised their family.He enjoyed hunting trips with his hunting group, snowmobiling in his younger years, and spending time with his family.He especially enjoyed spending time with his sons who meant the world to him.He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Michelle of Buckman; sons, Noah, Jake, and Luke all of Buckman; mother, Gloria Thomsen of Pierz; father & mother-n-law, Joe & Anna Mae Prom of St. Joseph; siblings, Wayne Thomsen, Jr. of Wadena, Brad (Anne) Thomsen of Pierz, Sheilah (Dale) Stangl of Buckman, Tracy (Stacey) Thomsen of Pierz and Shawna Berg of Buckman; sisters and brother-in-law, Jackie (Tom) Heinen of Isanti, Jenny (Dan) Lentz of Big Lake, Becky (Jon) Gutenkauf of Egan, John (Alecia) Prom of St. Joseph, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Wayne and grandparents, Harlan & Frances Thomsen and Frank & Anna Tretter.
