Thomas L. Burkard

Thomas Burkard, 75 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died Sunday, June 23 in Platte Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. A private family burial will be held at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lake Benton, MN at a later date.

Thomas Louis Burkard was born May 5, 1938 in St. Kilian, Minnesota to the late Henry and Elizabeth (Pieper) Burkard.He enlisted into the United States Army on February 16, 1956 and served in the Korean War until his honorable discharge on January 29, 1957. Thomas worked as a welder for Honey Well for several years.He was united in marriage to Marilyn Dzeeuw and the couple made their home in Pierz, MN. Marilyn died on October 18, 1999 at the couples home in Pierz, MN. Thomas continued living in Pierz, MN, until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth (Pieper) Burkard and his wife, Marilyn Burkard.
