Thomas Haggerty

Thomas "Thom" Haggerty, age 48, of Little Falls, MN, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Thomas "Thom" Alan Haggerty was born on August 9, 1963 in Little Falls, MN, the son of Virgil and Lois (Cleveland) Haggerty. He grew up in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1981. Thom was very active in drama and speech, earning a number of awards and achievements and voted boy of the year. Thom attended the University of Minnesota Duluth graduating with a degree in Performing Arts. His career included acting in and directing many plays. After returning to Little Falls, he was very active in the Hole in the Day Players. He had a love for drama and musicals and his performances will be remembered and cherished by his family and friends. Thom was an avid Minnesota sports fan and enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings, most especially with his mother. In his free time, Thom enjoyed playing trivia games, singing Karaoke with his family, family gatherings at the lake and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lois Haggerty of Little Falls; siblings, Sharron Eckman of Ft. Dodge, IA, Donald (Marte) Haggerty of Madison, WI, Richard (Sharon) Haggerty of Little Falls, MN, Patrick (Suzanne) Haggerty of Cushing, MN, Lori Velasquez of St. Paul, MN, Carole (Ronald) Walkoviak of Little Falls, MN, James Haggerty of Madison, WI, Joseph (Loy) Haggerty of Baltimore, MD, Paula (Terry) Garrison of Little Falls, MN, Julie (Keith) Lindgren of Brainerd, MN, Scott (Melissa) Haggerty of Little Falls, MN, Daniel (Chrissy) Haggerty of St. Cloud, MN, Mary Lyter (Mike Casillas) of Little Falls, MN, Timothy Haggerty of Little Falls, MN, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Thom was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Haggerty (1988); sister, Joni Vilinski (1995); brother-in-law, Tom Lyter (2009); grandparents, George & Katherine Haggerty and Sigvold & Gladys Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Eckman, Shelby Waltman, Benjamin Garrison and Adam Vilinski.
