Thomas A. Krystosek

Thomas A. Krystosek, age 97, of Royalton, MN, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, with Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012 and 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 19th all at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton. There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday followed by Knights of Columbus Office of the Dead at 6:00 p.m. and Parish Prayers 7:00 p.m. Thomas Anthony Krystosek was born on December 12, 1914, in Swan River Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Thomas and & Mary (Fussy) Krystosek. He grew up on a farm in Bellevue Township near Royalton and attended country school through the eighth grade. He was united in marriage to Lucy Biniek on May 1, 1944, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. Thomas was primarily a farmer farming in Bellevue Township. He owned and operated Krystosek Dairy, did custom farm work filling silos, threshing, corn shredding, combining and baling hay. He also plowed snow for the City of Royalton as well as working as a lineman for the Rural Farmer's Telephone Company. Thomas was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton serving as Eucharistic minister from 1970 until 2000, the Knights of Columbus (3rd & 4th Degree), Royalton School Board for 19 years, the Royalton Sportsmen Club and the Catholic Order of Foresters where he served as secretary. Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Anthony "Tony" (Cecilia) Krystosek, of Royalton, MN, Alois "Al" (Susan) Krystosek of Royalton, MN, Carol Krystosek of Royalton, MN; five grandchildren, Samuel, Nicole, Sr. Marysia "Catie", Anne, Daniel; step-grandchildren, Dion (Phaedra) Poppen, Mike (Shawn) Poppen; five step-great grandchildren, one step great-great-grandchild. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas & Mary (Fussy) Krystosek; wife, Lucy Krystosek (May 30, 1999) and sisters, Mary Hubner and Rose Posch.
