Theodore Henry Weber was born on December 18, 1926 in New Ulm, Minnesota to John & Elizabeth (Dietz) Weber. At the age of three, he moved with his family to Pierz and attended St. Joseph's School. He worked on his uncle's farm near New Ulm during his summers and also helped at the family business, Weber's Texaco, in Pierz. He enlisted in the United States Army and served for two years in Korea and the Philippines. When he returned from the service, he took over the operation of the garage with his brother, Leo. Ted and Arlene owned and operated Weber's Texaco and Weber's 66 service stations and bait shop. He also volunteered with the Pierz Fire Department for many years. The couple sold the business on August 1, 1986 and continued working part-time for a few years before retirement. Ted enjoyed fishing with family, playing cards, gardening, yard work, and socializing with family and friends.
