Theodore F. Stodolka, 89 year old resident of Royalton, MN passed away Friday, February 09, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Matthew Langager officiating. A visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday evening at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Theodore Ted Stodolka was born on September 17, 1928 in Bowlus, MN to the late Michael and Pauline (Klowsowski) Stodolka. Preceded in death by siblings Clarence, Irene Winkler, Michael, Gerald, Edwin, Clemence, Florence Warzechka, Violet Pintok and Diane Slivnik. Survived by siblings Kenneth and Marilyn Miller. Ted graduated from Holdingford High School and proudly served his country as a Marine until he was honorably discharged. He married Mary Ann (Hovland) at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The couple lived in Fridley where they raised their children: Dan (Barb) of Woodbury, MN, Don (Penny) of Lino Lakes, MN and Susan of Minneapolis, MN. He worked at Western Electric in Minneapolis for 30 years and retired in 1984. After retirement, they built a home on the Platte River. Ted loved being with his grandchildren Kati, Mike and Rachel. He enjoyed walking in the woods, yard work, gardening and watching Twins baseball. In his younger years, Ted enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, pheasant hunting, traveling and playing golf.
