Terrence "Terry" Erickson

Terrence Terry Erickson, 65 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, died Saturday, August 22 at his home with his loving family by his side as the result of Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer diagnoses. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 26 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls with Bob Mueller officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.



Terry Erickson was born August 9, 1950 in Grand Forks, ND to the late Miriam and Eunice (Babcock) Erickson Trifunov. He moved from East Grand Forks, MN, when he was three, and was raised in Little Falls, MN. He graduated from Little Falls Community High School with the Class of 1968. He was drafted into the Army in 1970, served one tour in Viet Nam and was honorably discharged in 1972. Terry then moved to Graton, California and worked as a foreman at an apple dehydrating plant. He returned to Little Falls, MN in 1977. He worked at Hennepin Paper Company in Little Falls for 20 years and Liberty Paper, Inc. in Becker, MN for 16 years. Terry retired in 2013. Terry married his best friend and soul mate, Sally Oothoudt on February 24, 1990 at the Randall Presbyterian Church. Their three children are from previous marriages; Terry has two daughters, Heather and Erin, Sally has one son, Paul. Terry and Sally made their home in Little Falls. Terrys interest were fishing, travel, plays/theatre and spending time with family and friends. He camped for over 30 years, where he enjoyed having a beer with his many friends at the campsite. He taught his daughters and grandchildren to fish and enjoy camping as much as he did. He was a member of the Little Falls VFW Post #1112, Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and the Little Falls Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Terry is survived by his wife, Sally Erickson of Little Falls, MN; daughters, Heather (Shawn) Flick of Randall, MN, Erin (Trent) Nash of Randall, MN; stepson, Paul (Jennie) VonderHaar of Sartell, MN; grandchildren, Evan and Joshua Flick, Jacob and Hannah Nash, Sam VonderHaar; sisters, Delrae Erickson of Costa Rica, Kate (Mike) Lommen of Alexandria, MN, Jane (Lance) Miles of Oak Creek, CO; brother-in-law, Ashley (Karen) Oothoudt of Moorhead, MN; sisters-in-law, Melodie (Tom) Blanchard of Denver, CO and Renae Oothoudt of Little Falls, MN.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Trifunov; brother-in-law, Tom Oothoudt and niece, Erika Lommen.

Memorials are preferred to the following: Horizon Health and Hospice, Randall Presbyterian Church or Donors Choice.
