A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Thursday, January 14, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Wednesday, January 13, from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Thursday, January 14. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13,. Arrangements are by the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, Little Falls. Clara Stanoch was born on August 4, 1916, at Opole, Minnesota. She was the fourth of ten children born to the late Michael and Mary Ann (Pientok) Stanoch. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister on August 12, 1933, and given the name, Sister Mary Seraphine. She made first profession of vows on August 12, 1935, and final vows on August 12, 1938. She was a Franciscan Sister for 76 years. Sister Seraphine ministered in food service. She served in Little Falls, Breckenridge, St. Cloud, Onamia, Moorhead, Perham, Flensburg, Waite Park and Dodgeville Wisconsin. Sister Seraphine was preceded in death by brothers Leo, George, Alois, Alfred and Edward; sisters, Elizabeth Trutwin, Martha Skwira and Bernadette Kedrowski. She is survived by her sister Sister Evangeline, OSF, Little Falls; nieces and nephews and her Franciscan Community. Donations to Franciscan Sisters Ministries preferred.
