Sr. Mary Felix Mushel

Little Falls, Minnesota............ Sister Felix (Fae) Mushel, 79, died on September 25, 2011, at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Minn. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Saturday, October 1 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Friday, September 30, from 4 - 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Saturday, October 1. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 30. Arrangements are by the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, Little Falls. Fae Mushel was born on February 11, 1932, in Little Falls, Minn. She was the first of two children born to the late Felix and Helen (Parent) Mushel. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on July 31, 1952, and given the name Sister Mary Felix. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1954, and final vows on August 12, 1957. She was a Franciscan Sister for 59 years. Sister Mary Felix ministered as a medical technologist, recruiter and communicator at St. Francis High School, lab supervisor, assistant hospital administrator, president/CEO of Franciscan Sisters Healthcare, Inc, and an adjunct professor/undergraduate advisor. Sister Mary Felix served in Little Falls, Alexandria, Onamia, Sauk Centre, Fergus Falls, Little Falls, Martin and Lexington, Ky. and Tampa, Fla. Sister Felix is survived by her brother, Robert (Dorothy), Little Falls, nieces and nephews and her Franciscan Community. Donations to Franciscan Sisters Ministries preferred.
