Sister Mary Caroline (Teresa) Torborg, 93 Little Falls Sept. 9, 1913 a" Nov. 16, 2006 Sister Mary Caroline (Teresa) Torborg, 93, died on November 16, 2006, at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Minn. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Tuesday, November 21 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Monday, November 20, from 4 - 8 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Tuesday. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 20. Sister Mary Caroline was born on September 9, 1913, near Richmond, Minnesota. She was the tenth of 13 children born to the late Herman and Anna (Kemper) Torborg. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on August 12, 1929. She made first profession of vows on August 12, 1931, and final vows on August 12, 1934. She was a Franciscan Sister for 77 years. Sister Caroline ministered in healthcare and retreat ministry. She was the Director of St. Francis School of Nursing, Breckenridge and Director of St. Gabriel's School of Nursing, Little Falls. She served in Breckenridge, Little Falls, Prior Lake, St. Paul, Onamia, Minn. ; Random Lake, Wis. and Lexington, Tenn. Sister Caroline was preceded in death by siblings: Alphonse, Helen Heying, Theodore, Hilarius, Veronica Behnen, Leonard, Catherine Stommes, Bruno and Cyril. Survivors include siblings: Martha Behnen, Cordelia Becker and Dorothy (Elmer) Brisse, Richmond; sisters-in-law Bernadette Torborg Schefers and Martha Torborg, Richmond; nieces and nephews and her Franciscan Community.
