Shirley A Peka

Shirley Peka, age 69, of Foley, MN, passed away at her home on January 29, 2015.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 7th, 2015 at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on February 7th, 2015.

A private burial will be conducted at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.

Shirley was born September 4, 1945 to Benedict and Catherine (Sufka) Heurung in Little Falls, MN. She was united in marriage to Leo Peka on October 25, 1973. She was a loving person who could be counted on to lend a helping hand, or an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on and a sense of humor and smile to brighten the day.She worked at the St. Cloud Hospital for 20 years and loved doing crafts, gardening and was an avid reader.

She is survived by son, Tim (Arlynn) Miller of Foley, MN; daughter, Shari Miller of Royalton, MN; sisters, Doris Kliber of Cushing, MN, and Darlene (Joe) Thell of Somerset, WI; brother, Edward (Donna) Heurung of Foley, MN; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; infant son, Scott; parents; brothers, Charles Heurung and Donald Heurung and sisters, Frances Kocinski and Carol Proper.
