Ryan A. Lippert, 22 year old resident of Grand Forks, ND formerly of Royalton, MN, died Friday, February 1 in Grand Forks, ND. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 7 at 11:00 A.M. at Living Hope Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Nate Bjorge (Faith Lutheran Church) officiating. Friends may gather from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Thursday at the church. Ryan Arthur Lippert was born March 2, 1990 in Little Falls, MN to Thomas and Linda (Walker) Lippert. The family lived in Royalton, MN, where he attended Royalton Elementary and Royalton High School. He graduated from Royalton High School with the Class of 2008. Ryan was active in high school playing several brass instruments in the band and marching band. He lettered in Football 2005, 2006, & 2007. Ryan participated in the 2007 Class A State Football Tournament playing starting center and 2nd defensive end on the Royals football team. Ryan lettered in Royals track & field 2006, 2007, & 2008. Ryan ran the 400 meter and several relay teams for the Royals. Ryan lettered in basketball in 2007. He was inducted into the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools in 2008. Ryan received the Triple AAA award (Academics, Arts, and Athletics) in 2008 and was chosen as Royalton's student of the month in March of 2008. He participated in DECA, Knowledge Bowl, Student Council, and as a church volunteer. He attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, from 2008 thru 2011 working on an education degree. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity while he attended the university. He will be remembered by his family and friends as having a big tender heart and being there for his family and friends. He was the life of the party especially with his dance moves. Ryan enjoyed pheasant and duck hunting with his family, friends, and his chocolate lab Cookie. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN, Loyal Royals 4-H club, Morrison County 4-H Dog Project, H.O.T. (Hall Orientation Team) and participated in Pay It Forward. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Tom and Linda (Walker) Lippert of Royalton, MN; siblings, Todd (Angelica Lopez) Lippert of Fennimore, WI and Kellie (Jorge) Bernal Delgado of Minneapolis, MN; aunts and uncles, Lenore (Larry) Monnens of Hermosa, SD, Sandra (Duane) Hoff of Glad Valley, SD, Twyla (Jeff) Steinberger of Sioux Falls, SD, Paul Walker of Henning, MN, Brian (Mary) Walker of Portland, OR, Wayne (Beth) Walker of Rapid City, SD; grandmothers, Cherry Lippert of Sioux Falls, SD and Sonja Walker of Henning, MN. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Herbert Arthur Lippert and Harold Daniel Walker.
