Rose M. Pfeil

Rose M. Pfeil, age 84, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at Central Minnesota Senior Care in Little Falls, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Church of St. Mary in Madelia, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madelia, MN. Rose was born on June 22, 1926 in St. James, Minnesota the daughter of Monrad & Anna (Grogan) Harbitz. She grew up on a Farm in Rosendale Township outside of St. James. She graduated from St. James High School in 1944. She continued her education and received a certification as a Nurses Aide. She was employed at Madelia Community Hospital retiring in the 1980's. Following her retirement, she continued living in Madelia and later moved to Little Falls in 1997. She lived at Pine Grove Manor until moving to Central Minnesota Senior Care in Little Falls. Rose enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, reading and visiting with people. She especially enjoyed children. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Howard Pfeil of Little Falls; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Platz of Sartell, MN, and William Pfeil of Sauk Centre, MN; great-grandaughter, Tasha Smith of Sartell, MN and sister-in-law, Vernell Harbitz of St. James, MN, and many nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Monrad & Anna (Grogan) Harbitz; husband, Kenneth Pfeil (1986); and seven brothers, Lawrence, Francis, Raymond, Leo, Clement, Richard and William Harbitz.
