Rose A. Puchalla

Rose A. Puchalla, 89 year old resident of Bowlus, MN died Thursday, December 19 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls, MN.A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN with Father John Odero and Father Greg Mastey officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Rose Ann Janey was born March 21, 1924 in Flensburg, MN to the late Frank and Frances (Witt) Janey. She attended country school in rural Flensburg until the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to Peter Puchalla on September 20, 1943 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. The couple farmed the Puchalla home farm together.Their farm was designated as a Century Farm.Peter died on August 17, 2001.Rose continued living in Bowlus, MN.She was an active member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, The Garden Variety Club and The Little Falls Senior Center. Rose enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting, latch hook rugs, embroidering and was an excellent cook and baker.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, JoAnn Mick of Waite Park, MN, David (Judima) Puchalla of St. Cloud, MN, Daniel (Yvonne) Puchalla of Andover, MN, Raymond (June) Puchalla of Bowlus, MN; grandchildren, Lori (Craig) Bardson, Brian Mick, Carmie Mick, Travis (Alysia) Mick, David (Shannon) Puchalla, Jonathon Puchalla, Corrine Puchalla, Aaron (Katie) Puchalla, Nikki Puchalla, April Puchalla, Rachel (Rod) Michalek, Carie (Brandon) Voges and Adam (Jessica) Puchalla and 14 Great-grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter Puchalla in 2001 and a son-in-law, Loren Mick.
