Rose A."Rosie" Hudak, age 85, of Royalton, MN, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, with Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 23rd and 9-10 a.m. Thurs. Sept. 24 all at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, 8 - North 2nd Street, Royalton, MN. The Christian Mother's will pray the Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a Parish Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Rose "Rosie" Agnes Sobania was born on February 2, 1924 in Bellevue Township, Morrison County, Minnesota the daughter of Joseph and Agatha (Schietza) Sobania. She grew up on a farm and attended school in Royalton. She was united in marriage to Anthony Hudak on June 20, 1944. The couple made their home on a farm South of Royalton. Rosie helped her husband on the farm and also worked as a waitress at Sammy's Drive Inn in Little Falls, the Drive Inn in Royalton, Jerry's Cafe in Royalton and at Royalton Produce. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed many outdoor activities. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, the Christian Mothers and St. Jude Mission Group. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Arleen Hudek of St. Cloud and Royalton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Agatha (Schietza) Sobania; husband, Anthony (Tony) Hudak and siblings, Mary Polinsky, William Sobania, Ann Bonik, Frank Sobania, Anthony Sobania, Peter Sobania, Frances Spedvick and John Sobania in infancy.
