Ronald P. Bennett

Ronald P. Bennett, age 66, of Burtrum, MN, formerly of the Twin Cities, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, 900 - 1st Street SE, Little Falls, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Ronald Paul Bennett was born on August 14, 1943, in Rochester, Minnesota, the son of Ronald & Sylvia (Dornack) Bennett. He was united in marriage to Ruby Plocher on December 14, 1968. The couple lived in the Twin Cities for many years where Ronald worked in sales at Northwest Service in Minneapolis, Hale Co. in St. Paul and Griggs Contracting in Shoreview. The couple moved from Lino Lakes to Burtrum in 2001 and Ronald retired in 2003. Ronald was an avid New York Yankee fan and also followed the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings. In his free time, he enjoyed reading and playing cribbage. Ronald had a quick wit that will be missed by all who knew him. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Ruby; children, Deborah (Lincoln) Walter, Angela (David) Graham and Brendan (Heather Erickson) Bennett; sister, Barbara (Roy) Chadwick; brothers-in-law, Richard (Donna) Plocher and Ronald (Carol) Plocher; sister-in-law, Rita Dockery; grandchildren, Paige and Amanda Walter; step-grandchildren, Alexandra, Tyler and Zachary Graham and many nieces and nephews.
