Rolland Loidolt

Rolland "Rollie" Loidolt, 90 year old resident of Pierz, MN formerly of Lastrup, MN, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Pierz Villa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 26 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN, with Rev. David Maciej and Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9:00-10:15 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Rolland "Rollie" Loidolt was born February 23, 1919 in Granite Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late John and Marie (Nespory) Loidolt. He attended country school in Lastrup, MN. He was united in marriage to Cecilia Fischer on April 4, 1945 at St. John's Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN. The couple farmed all their married lives in Granite Township. In 1982, the couple retired and moved into Pierz, MN. Rollie enjoyed his time on the farm tending to his land and animals. He especially loved his time spent with his grandchildren on the farm, building toy boxes and miscellaneous toys. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN and Knights of Columbus. Rolland Loidolt is survived by his wife, Cecilia, of Pierz, MN; children, Marne Loidolt and wife, Marge, of Pierz, MN, Mary Jo Gruber and husband, Kevin, of Baxter, MN; grandchildren, Chris Gruber, Apryl Putnam, Brandon Gruber, Shannon Vettleson, Stephanie Loidolt, Michael Loidolt, Mark Loidolt and Cory Loidolt; great-grandchildren, Carly Vettleson, Sarah Vettleson, Reid Putnam, Rylan Putnam and Taylor LaFine; siblings, Ray Loidolt and wife, Bernadine, of Pierz, MN, Norman Loidolt and wife, Betty, of Little Falls, MN and Hildegard Kapsner of Pierz, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie (Nespory) Loidolt; children, Kathleen Loidolt in 1952 and Allen Loidolt in 1978; siblings, Alvin Loidolt, Leander "Ole" Loidolt, Donnie Loidolt and Erma Paulson. Casket Bearers will be: Chris Gruber, Brandon Gruber, Michael Loidolt, Mark Loidolt, Cory Loidolt, Joey Vettelson, Troy Putnam.
