Roland M. Storkamp, age 50, of Agram Township, Pierz, MN passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at his home in Agram Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman with the Rev. Greg Poser, OSC officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00-10:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz. Parish Prayers will be said at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel in Pierz. Roland M. Storkamp was born January 28, 1959 in Little Falls, Morrison County, MN to the late Albert and Pauline (Klein) Storkamp. He grew up in Genola, MN and attended school in the Pierz School District. He entered and served in the Army National Guard from 1973 to 1984. Roland worked at Larson Boats, later becoming self-employed as a mechanic owning and operating Storkamp Garage in Genola, MN. Roland also drove truck for Gordy Becker and was presently working for Larson Boats. Roland was united in marriage to Darcey Sommers on May 25, 1991 at their home in Agram Township where the couple still resided at the time of Roland's death. He enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, fishing, woodworking and camping. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Darcey; sons & daughter, Mike Storkamp at home, Christopher Storkamp of Pierz, MN, Craig Storkamp of Sauk Rapids, MN, Royal Noe, Jr. of Pierz, MN and Jasmine (Brandon) Kimmons of Pierz, MN; brothers, James (Jim) Storkamp of Little Falls, MN and Robert (Vi) Storkamp of Becker, MN; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Pauline Storkamp and an infant sister, Mary.
