Robert Regnell

Robert Regnell, 87 year old resident of Little Falls MN died Wednesday, July 7 at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 10 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Glenn Leaf officiating. Burial will be in Darling Cemetery in Darling Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Military Rites will be conducted by the Flensburg American Legion Post #136 and the Randall VFW Post #9073. Robert was born January 23, 1923 in Darling Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late William E. and Clara K. (Carlson) Regnell. He attended District #69 country school in Cluff Township. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1944. Robert served in World War II in Germany for two years, he then served in Korea for two years and two months from 1949 until 1952. He was honorably discharged in 1952. Robert farmed for 38 years in Platte Township, Morrison County. He hauled livestock to market for 20 years in Morrison County. He was united in marriage to Virginia Matthews in 1952, she passed away in 1981. Robert was united in marriage to Evelyn Hlad in 1983, she preceded Robert in death in 2001. Robert was an avid fan of "Wheel of Fortune" and the Minnesota Twins and enjoyed annual trips to the Minnesota State Fair, especially Machinery Hill. He was a member of Morrison County Co-op, Farmers Union, Flensburg American Lgion Post #136, Randall VFW Post #9073 and the Platte Township Board. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Robert Regnell (Janice) of Prior Lake, MN, Linda Meyer (Chris) of Little Canada, MN, Sharon Justin (Gary) of Randall, MN, Charlene Holste (Larry) of Little Falls, MN, Gail Lien of Forrest Lake, MN; siblings, Everett Regnell of Little Falls, MN, Ione Mucha-Bredahl of North Dakota, Elaine Opatz (Edward), Ruth Norton (Ken) of Little Falls, MN; brother-in-law, Gene Peil; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; spouses, Virginia and Evelyn; siblings, Arnold Regnell, Lyle Regnell and Marlys Mucha- Peil.
