Robert Bob Ramsey, age 82, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Steve Priola officiating.
Burial with Military Honors by the Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and the Little Falls V.F.W. Post #1112 will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 12th in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Robert James Ramsey was born on July 30, 1933, in Little Falls, Minnesota the son of Mark Bertha (Sande) Ramsey. He attended school in Little Falls. Following his schooling he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was married to Zelna Anderson and they had two children, Raymond and Bonnie. The couple later divorced and he moved back to Minnesota from Montana. He was united in marriage to Jewell Dearborn in 1964 and they had two children, Roy and Mark. For most of his life, Bob was a drummer in a number of bands. He also painted and worked construction on the side. His most recent job was a volunteer driver for TriCap in Morrison County. He enjoyed fishing, truck pulls, playing cards, playing cribbage and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Little Falls V.F.W. and the Little Falls American Legion.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jewell of Little Falls; children, Raymond Ramsey from Great Falls, MT, Bonnie Anderson of Great Falls, MT, Roy Ramsey of Albany, MN, and Mark (Sherry) Ramsey of Sobieski, MN; siblings, Burton (Janiece), Jim (Danette), Donna (Robert) Davis, Judy (Roman) Witucki, Wayne (Debbie); 14 grandchildren; 16great-grandchildren
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Raymond, Mae Midas, Phyllis Stoner, Sidney, Douglas and an infant brother.
