Richard "Rick" Mead

Richard Rick Mead, 61 year old resident of Buckman, MN, died Friday, September 27 at his home in Buckman, MN. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 A.M. at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton, MN with Chaplain Greggory Valentine officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Royalton, MN.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, October 2 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton, MN.

Richard LeRoy Mead was born April 23, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN to the late LeRoy and Yvonne (Antil) Mead.He was united in marriage to Catherine VanScoik on September 11, 1976 at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Sauk Rapids, MN.The couple lived in Rice, MN for a few years.They moved to Royalton, MN in 1991 and in 2010 the couple moved to Buckman, MN, where they currently reside. Richard worked for Pueringer Distributing in Rice, MN and Crestliner Boats in Little Falls, MN, as a boat finisher. He enjoyed motorcycles, classic cars and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine Mead of Buckman, MN; sons, Christopher Mead, Nathan Mead and Ryan Mead, all of Little Falls, MN; daughters, Heather (Dan) Eiynk of Buckman, MN; siblings, David Mead of Sleepy Eye, MN, Karen (Steve) Yamry of St. Cloud, MN and Gary (Sandy) Mead of Morris, MN and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Yvonne Mead.
