Richard Ervin Brisk

Richard Ervin Brisk, 81 year old resident of Harding, MN, died on Monday, November 23 at St. Josephs Hospital in Brainerd, MN, after a recent diagnosis of acute leukemia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 27 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN with Father. David Maciej officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday at the church in Harding, MN. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery.

Richard E. Brisk was born June 19, 1934 in Harding, Pulaski Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Michael and Rosie (Matlock) Brisk. He attended country school in Harding, MN. He was drafted into the United States Army. He served his Country from 1957 until 1959. He returned to Harding, MN, where he worked on the family farm in Pulaski Township. Richard was united in marriage to Diane DeRosier on June 12, 1965 at St. Mathias Catholic Church. The couple made their home on the Brisk family farm in Pulaski Township for over 50 years. Richard was a handyman and could fix any and everything. Richard enjoyed farming, working with the cows, going to the casino and polka music especially, The Big Joe Polka Show. His time spent with his granddaughter was a treasured time. Richard was a member of Holy Cross Church in Harding, MN. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Pulaski Township serving on the board several years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane Brisk of Harding, MN; daughters, Karen Marie Brisk of Minneapolis, MN, Connie Jean Brisk of Harding, MN, Doris Ann (special friend, Chad Warnke) Brisk of Harding, MN; grandchildren, Kassandra Bettie, Kameron Bettie and Rosabella Warnke; siblings, Amelia Davis of Little Falls, MN, Edmund (Bertha) Brisk of Little Falls, MN, Bernie (Marion) Brisk of Pierz, MN, Raymond (Irene) Brisk of Little Falls, MN, Virgil (Frances Babe) Brisk of Little Falls, MN and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Rosie Brisk; siblings, Lucille Brisk, Archie Brisk and Rhinehart (Butch) Brisk.

The casket bearers will be: Curtis Brisk, Theodore Dehler, Bradley Dehler, Johnathon Brisk, Nicholas Brisk and Patrick Brisk.
