Regina Warzecha

Regina T. Wazecha, age 91 of Royalton, MN passed away, Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the County Manor Nursing Home in Sartell, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton with the Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Royalton. Christian Mothers will prayer a rosary at 4:30 P.M. Friday afternoon at the funeral chapel, followed parish prayers at 7:00 P.M. Regina T. Warzecha was born May 16, 1917 in Bowlus, Morrison County, MN to the late Peter & Lucy (Kupka) Bursey. She grew up in the Bowlus area on the family farm. Regina attended country school in District #136. Following her schooling, she lived with her parents on the farm until moving to Minneapolis for a few years. She was united in marriage to Elmer Warzecha on June 12, 1945 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. Regina and Elmer farmed in the Royalton area until their retirement. In 1987, the couple moved to the City of Royalton. Elmer died May 14, 1995. Regina continued to live in Royalton. In 2001, Regina became a resident of the Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell, residing there until her death. She enjoyed bingo, play cards, gardening, canning and baking. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Regina is survived by her children, Richard Warzecha & wife, Ellen, of Cross Lake, MN David Warzecha & wife, Janet, of Royalton, MN, Diane Psyck of Royalton, MN, Kenneth Warzecha & wife, Diane, of Royalton, MN, Laurie Dingman & husband, George, of Rice, MN, Joyce Kahl & husband, Steve, of Pierz, MN; brothers, Raymond Bursey of Minneapolis, MN, Clarence Bursey & wife, Irene, of Shakopee, MN, Edward Bursey & wife, Marion, of Royalton, MN, Robert Bursey of California, Ronald Bursey & wife, Nancy, of Minnetonka, MN & Peter Bursey & wife, Karen, of St. Cloud, MN; sister, Genevieve Benusa of Little Falls, MN; 21 Grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents; brothers & sisters, John, Alois, George, Richard, & Donald Bursey, Minnie Sowada, Mary Sobania & Bernie Opatz and son-in-law, Jack Psyck in 2004. Casket bearers are Greg, Steve, Mike, Jeff & Kurt Warzecha, Scott & Shawn Psyck, Joe Dingman & Travis Kahl.
