Raymond was born March 27, 1918 to the late Mike and Mary (Muellner) Tschida He attended school and graduated from Grey Eagle High School. Raymond worked for Little Falls Wholesale for a few years. Raymond was drafted into the United States Military and served his country during World War II for three years and two months. During the war, Raymond served in Tunisia, Africa and Italy. After he was honorably discharged, Raymond returned to Little Falls, MN where he continued his work at Little Falls Wholesale for 38 years. Raymond was united in marriage to Margaret Skule on August 19, 1946 in Ely, MN. He purchased the grocery store in Swanville, MN in 1968 and operated it for 18 years. He sold the store in Swanville which is currently Bob and Frans. Raymond resided in Little Falls until his death. Raymond was a life member of the KC's, Little Falls American Legion and Little Falls V.F.W. Raymond and Margaret attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards, weaving rugs and refinishing furniture. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Raymond is survived by his children, Michael Tchida and wife, Diane, of Duluth, MN, James Tchida of Cook, MN and John Tchida of Bowlus, MN; four grandchildren, Chris, Roxi, Jenni and Michael; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his parents; wife, Margaret on December 1, 1992 and son, Thomas Tchida.
