Raymond "Ray" Kurr

Raymond Ray Kurr, age 75, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the Little Falls Care Center.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, with Chaplain Gregg Valentine officiating.Interment with military honors will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the hour of service on Tuesday, February 17th at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls.

Raymond Ray Kurr was born on April 2, 1939, in St. Cloud, Minnesota the son of Raymond & Joyce (Williams) Kurr.He grew up in St. Cloud where he attended school and graduated from St. Cloud Tech in 1957.Following his schooling he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.Ray worked at Firestone Tire in St. Cloud prior to his marriage to Karen Drimel on January 19, 1962 at St. Marys Catholic Church in St. Cloud.The couple made their home in St. Cloud.In 1975, they moved to Randall and in 1978 to Little Falls.Ray spent most of his career in sales at with various companies.He enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards, cooking and grilling, a good steak dinner and loved German Shepherd dogs.He was a member of the Marine Corp League and the ASPCA.His family will cherish the memory of how much he enjoyed teasing them.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jeff Kurr of Thousand Oaks, CA, Susan (Rick) Brausen of Little Falls, MN, Steve (Beth) Kurr of Pierz, MN, Barb (Brad Chase) Griffith of Shakopee, MN, David (Melissa) Kurr of Little Falls, MN, and Kara (Randy) Karnowski of Brainerd, MN; grandchildren, Ashley Kurr, Samantha (Jeremy) Petersen, Eli Griffith, Mikayla Kurr, Kaden Kurr, Taylor Kurr, Austin Kurr and many grand dogs and great-grandchildren, Connor Petersen, Nathaniel Kurr, David Kurr and Tatiana Kurr.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Kurr (1996); sister, Debbie Kurr and a brother, Bill Kurr.
