Raymond Fussy

Raymond Fussy, age 78 of Little Falls, MN passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski with the Rev. Leo Moenkedick and Rev. Raymond Donnay con-celebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday from 8:00-10:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Parish Prayers will be said at 6:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral chapel followed by a Rosary at 7:30 P.M. Raymond Fussy was born August 26, 1930 in Swan River Township, Morrison County, MN to the late Peter and Katherine (Weber) Fussy. He was united in marriage to Irene (Moritz) Merten on May 28, 1966 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, MN. Following their marriage, Raymond and Irene lived and farmed on the farm where Raymond was born in Swan River Township, MN. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski. He served on the Sobieski Creamery Board, Swan River Township Board and the Parish Council. Raymond was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing cards, telling jokes, playing with his remote control cars, giving his grandchildren rides on the John Deere Gator around the farm, checking the fields and listening to KASM Radio in Albany on his radio. Raymond loved being around his family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Raymond is survived by his wife, Irene; children, Kenneth (Carol) Merten of Sartell, MN, Karen (Brian) Fixsen of Redwood Falls, MN, Mary Ann Tuzinski of Little Falls, MN, Peter Fussy of Little Falls, MN, Paul (Sandy) Fussy of Little Falls, MN, Catherine (Mark) Hebig of Flensburg, MN, Amy (Russ) Kath of Sauk Rapids, MN, Jennifer (Eric) Smude of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Jacob & Dylan Merten, Amanda Keppers, Josie Gottfried, Wendy Claseman, Caitlyn & Alex Fussy, Adam, Renee & Alice Hebig, Emily & Andrew Kath, Matthew & Maira Smude and six great-grandchildren; brother, Mike (Cecelia) Fussy of Bowlus, MN; sisters, Betty Sand of Pueblo, CO, Francis (John) Traczyk of New Hope, MN, Balbina Solorz of Little Falls, MN, Agnes (Louis) Doucette of Cushing, MN and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verna & brother-in-law George Eisle; infant sister, Catherine; half sister, Mary Nitzkorske; brothers-in-law, Elmer Sand and Andrew Solorz and son-in-law Richard Tuzinski.
