Raymond E. Trafas, 99 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Friday, December 18, 2009 at the St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M. on Monday, December 21 and 10-11 A.M. on Tuesday, December 22 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Raymond was born July 29, 1910 in Little Falls, MN to the late Michael and Rose (Zak) Trafas. He was united in marriage to Helen Puchalla on September 12, 1932 in Little Falls, MN. Raymond was employed by various Little Falls businesses throughout his lifetime. They include: Northwestern Milling Company, Tanner Flour Mill, Larson Boat Works for 20 years, Crestliner Tool Plant and custodian at the Pine Grove Manor. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. Raymond's passion in life was fishing no matter what time of the year it was. He is survived by his children, Ron (Sylvia) Trafas of Little Falls, MN, Jim (Paula) Trafas of Fridley, MN and Karen (Mike) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Puchalla) Trafas (Jan. 4, 2008); parents, Michael and Rose (Zak) Trafas and grandson, Michael Trafas.
