Pauline Julianna Koval, 93 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Monday, December 12 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 16 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN, with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Parish Cemetery in Flensburg, MN. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday at the church. Christian Mothers and the Rosary Sodality will pray the rosary at 4:30 P.M. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Pauline Julianna Golombiecki was born June 17, 1918 in Flensburg, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Peter and Sophie (Peschel) Golombiecki. She was united in marriage to Michael Koval on September 26, 1939 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. The couple made their home in Parker Township, where they raised their six children. The couple moved to Little Falls, MN in 1984. Michael died on May 6, 1998. Pauline continued living in Little Falls until the time of her death. She was an excellent baker, card player especially "Smear" and "Rummy", bingo and embroiderer. She adored her grandchildren and taking care of others children as well. Pauline attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN throughout her life. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and the Rosary Sodality groups. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerome (Mary Lynn) Koval of Randall, MN, Lawrence (Bev) Koval of Madelia, MN, Mary (Ted) Pietrowski of Little Falls, MN, Dorothy (Gerald) Smude of Little Falls, MN, Pattie (Ron) Kaiser of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Peter Golombiecki of Chokio, MN, Jerry (Edna) Golombiecki of Flensburg, MN, Richard (Agnes) Golombiecki of Little Falls, MN and Leona Kedrowski of Waseca, MN; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Sophie Golombiecki; husband, Michael Koval; son, Gordon Koval; infant daughters, Joanne and Helen Koval; siblings, Raymond Golombiecki, Joseph Golombiecki and Rose Kedrowski.
