Patrick W. Burns,Sr.

Patrick Burns, Sr., 80 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Wed., January 28, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wed. February 4, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial will be held at the MN State Veteran's Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Military honors will be conducted by the Little Falls American Legion Post #46. Friends may call from 4-7 PM Tuesday, February 3rd and 9-10 AM Wed. February 4th at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service, South East Chapel, Little Falls, MN. Christian Mothers will pray a rosary at 4:30 PM followed by parish prayers at 6 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Patrick Warren Burns, Sr. was born September 18, 1928 to the late Edward and Martha (Schmidt) Burns in St. Cloud, MN. He enlisted in the United States Army on April 29, 1953 and was honorably discharged on April 28, 1955. Patrick was united in marriage to Lorraine Marie Hines in December of 1953 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Patrick was a bricklayer in the Little Falls area for 55 years. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, spending time outdoors and loved being home on the river. Patrick was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, Little Falls American Legion Post #46 and past secretary of the Local 13 Bricklayer's Union. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Burns of Little Falls, MN; sons, Dan (Kathy) Burns of Atlanta, GA, Tim (Sue) Burns of Scottsdale, AZ, Kelly Burns of Waseca, MN and Patrick, Jr.(DeAnn) Burns of Becker, MN; two grandchildren, Jessica and Kelsey Burns of Becker, MN; sister-in-laws, Elnore Burns of St. Cloud, MN and Leona Burns of Sauk Rapids, MN and nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Martha Burns and brothers, Donald and Harold Burns.
