Patrick J. Dobis

Patrick J. Dobis, age 60 of Little Falls, MN passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 9, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with the Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday and Monday from 8:00-10:30 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be said at 5:30 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral chapel. Patrick Jerome Dobis was born September 25, 1947 in Little Falls, MN to Loretta (Zehowski) Dobis and the late Jerome Dobis. He grew up in Avon, MN until the age of six years. His family then moved to Little Falls. Patrick attended Little Falls Schools graduating from Little Falls High School with the Class of 1965. Following his schooling, Patrick worked at Larson Boats in Little Falls and for 41 years at Crestliner Boats in Little Falls. He was united in marriage to Sharon L. Banta on January 5, 1968 in Little Falls, MN. Following their marriage, Patrick & Sharon continued to live in Little Falls residing there at the time of his death. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, fishing, playing horseshoes and hunting. Patrick's pride and joy was his vegetable garden and his manicured lawn. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls and was an active member of the Little Falls Moose Lodge. Patrick is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons & daughter, Darrell Dobis of Little Falls, MN, Duane Dobis & wife, Tami, of St. Cloud, MN, Dean Dobis & wife, Carrie, of Lastrup, MN and Diane Dobis of Little Falls, MN; brother Terrance "Terry" Dobis & wife, Sharon, of Little Falls and a sister, Barbara DeZurik & husband, Keith, of Little Falls and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Dobis, one grandchild and both sets of grandparents. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Dobis, Brain DeZurik, Dean Dobis & Chris Dobis. Casketbearers are Darrell Dobis, Duane Dobis, Joe Stangl, Brian Karjala, Ryan Dobis & Jesse Vosen.
