Patricia Monson

Patricia Monson, age 67, of Hillman, MN, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 36055 - 213th Street, Hillman, MN. Patricia was born on July 20, 1945 in Waynesville, Missouri the daughter of Edward & Wilma (Loughridge) Holland. As a child, she moved to the iron range in Minnesota where she grew up. She attended school in Hibbing graduating with a nursing degree. She worked in a number of places in the nursing field for over 40 years. She retired at age 62, but continued working part-time for Mille Lacs Health Systems in Onamia. She was united in marriage to Elmer Monson on July 22, 2000. The couple made their home in St. Cloud and moved to Hillman in 2011. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, canning, and her flower gardens. She was a member of the Church of God Worldwide Association in Minneapolis, MN. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Elmer of Hillman, MN; children, John (Donna) Bonfield of Arlington, VA, Michael Bonfield of Herndon, VA and David (Kari) Bonfield of Sartell, MN; four grandchildren, Alexis Bonfield, Andrei Bonfield, Carly Bonfield and Jacob Bonfield; siblings, Judy (Robert) Shock of Chisolm, MN, Tom (Rita) Holland of Fosston, MN, and Michael (Deb) Holland of White Bear Lake, MN; step-children, Fred Monson of Sisseton, SD, Christina Wolfe of Lakeville, MN, Ingrid Monson of Columbia, MO, Carl Monson of Sartell, MN, Matthew Monson of Sioux Falls, SD, Peter Monson of White Bear Lake, MN, and Amy Monson of Backus, MN. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.
