Patricia J. Justin

Patricia J. Justin, age 79, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN with Fr. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday. Patricia was born on August 26, 1930 in Little Falls, MN to Lawrence & Eleanor (McGonagle) Billig. She grew up in Royalton and graduated from Royalton High School, Class of 1948. She then attended St. Cloud Teachers College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1952. Patricia took a teaching job in Duluth, MN. During this time, she was united in marriage to Gerald Justin. When Gerald was drafted into the military in 1954, Patricia continued living and working in Duluth until joining Gerald in Germany where their first child was born. In 1956, the couple returned to Minnesota and lived for a short time with Patricia's parents in Royalton. They then made their home in Brooklyn Center where they lived for over 20 years. While living in the Cities, Patricia substitute taught until 1979. After her teaching career, Patricia helped watch her grandchildren and traveled with her husband. The couple moved to Fifty Lakes where they lived in their cabin until 2007 when she became a resident of St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. Patricia especially loved and enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. Hobbies and activities she enjoyed include reading, taking pictures, needle work, dancing with her husband in their younger years and anything to do with loons. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gerald, of Little Falls; children, Sandra Justin of Cleveland, OH, Debra (John) Rieman of Finlayson, MN, Linda Plummer of Manieste, MI and Lawrence (Mary) Justin of New Brighton, MN; siblings, Roger Billig of Little Falls, MN; Marilyn Zwack of Brooklyn Center, MN, and Carole (Duane) Zapzalka of Bowlus, MN; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Eleanor Billig; sister-in-law, Anne Marie Billig and brother-in-law, Richard Zwack. Casketbearers will be Adam Rieman, Tim Rieman, Briana Justin, Mathew Justin, Michael Bishop and Jerry Bishop. Memorials preferred to Huntington's Disease Society of America www.hdsa.org.
