Patricia Borash

Patricia Borash, age 76, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 21, 2014, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski, MN, with Fr. Jimmy Joseph officiating.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 8:00 P.M. Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 10:00 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 21st at the church.

There will be a rosary at 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Patricia Marie Knopik was born on February 15, 1938 in Little Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Benedict & Rose (Zilka) Knopik.She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1956.Following her schooling, Patricia worked as a secretary at Crestliner, the Chamber of Commerce, and Rosenmeier Law Office.On August 12, 1958, she was united in marriage to Duane Joseph Borash at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls.The couple made their home on a farm near Sobieski until 1969 when they moved to Pierz where they owned and operated Borashs Bar and Borashs Sales and Service until 1979.They then moved to Staples where they owned and operated a dairy farm until 1991 when they retired.During their retirement they lived in Lincoln and later on Bowlus.Patricia enjoyed sewing, quilting, garage sales, polka dancing and bowling.Patricia was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski and St. Anns Mission Group.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles (Lisa Althaus) Borash of Swanville, MN, Wayne (Joyce) Borash of Sobieski, MN, Kenneth Borash of Hastings, MN, Kristine (Tim) Boros of Cushing, MN, and Karen (Frank) Marolt of Byron, MN; siblings, Ben (Marlys) Knopik, Richard (Jean) Knopik, Ed (Lavonne) Knopik, Ted (Sharon) Knopik, Robert (Marlene) Knopik and Bernedette (Alvin) Hansmann; 19 grandchildren, Vicki Lenk, Jordan Borash, Colleen Borash, Jacob Borash, Aaron Borash, Megan Borash, Abigail Borash, Joseph Borash, Maxwell Borash, John Boros, Paul Boros, Mitchell Boros, Rachel Boros, Lucas Boros, Isaac Marolt, Samuel Marolt, Jessica Marolt, Benjamin Marolt, and Ashley Marolt and two great-grandchildren, Allison Johnson and Jack Johnson.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Benedict & Rose; husband, Duane (1999); infant daughter, Mary Rose; granddaughter, Rebecca Borash; sister, Genevieve Boser.
