Oscar Bergstrom

Oscar Bergstrom, 92 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Sunday, September 7 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service West Chapel with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Friends may gather from 1-2 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Oscar D. Bergstrom was born January 26, 1916 in Culdrum Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Oscar and Selma (Andersen) Bergstrom. He attended grade school in Flensburg, MN. Oscar was united in marriage to Lorraine Zak in October of 1938 in South Dakota. Oscar worked 30 years for Burlington Northern Rail Road in passenger and the freight departments. After, retiring from the Rail Road he enjoyed spending time with his family in Arizona and on Lake Alexander golfing and fishing. Oscar was an excellent carpenter and jack of all trades. He was a member of the Lions and Rail Road Retirement. Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Lorraine (Zak) Bergstrom of Little Falls, MN; sons, Robert J. Bergstrom and wife, Sandie, of Apple Valley, MN, Gary O. Bergstrom and wife, Gayle, of Temple, TX, Lee W. Bergstrom and wife, Susan, of Brainerd, MN; son-in-law, Robert Ahlgren of Fairmont, MN; brother, Leonard Bergstrom and wife, Marge, of Phoenix, AZ. 10 grandchildren and 16. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Selma (Zak) Bergstrom; daughter, Judith Ann Ahlgren on April 19, 2008; brother, Herbert and Walter Bergstrom; sisters, Elsie Wise and Helen Klassen .
