Norman Foeller, 89 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Lake Alexander died Monday, February 18 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 21 at 11:00 A.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Friends may gather from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Scandia Valley Cemetery in Scandia Valley Township. Norman Foeller was born February 8, 1924 to the late Laura Way and Edward Balow. He was adopted as a young boy by Percy and Ella Foeller. The family resided in St. Paul, MN. Norman attended school in St. Paul, MN and Mellon, WI. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II in the Sheepshead Bay Area near Brooklyn, New York. Norman was united in marriage to Annette "Nettie" Pinault on April 12, 1947 in St. Paul, MN. The couple made their home in St. Paul, MN, for several years. Norman worked as a truck driver for Glendenning Motorway for all of his working life. He met his birth family at the age of 70, Norman felt as if he knew them all of his life. He enjoyed taking his boat to Isle Royale in Michigan, having coffee with friends, visiting and spending time with family and friends, watching old television shows and the Minnesota Twins and the Green Bay Packers. Norman was a member of the Teamsters Union. Norman's family (staff and residents) at Highland Senior Living had a special place in his heart. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna (Mike) Johnson of Big Lake, MN; grandson, Matthew C. (Amber) Johnson of Minnetonka, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Annette "Nettie" Foeller.
