Nancy VanScoik, age 48 of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN as the result of injuries from an automobile accident last week in Mayhew Lake Township, Benton County, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nick Landsberger officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Royalton, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 and 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 all at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. There will be a parish prayer service on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Nancy was born on April 1, 1963 in St. Cloud, MN the daughter of Elmer & Shirley (Delles) VanScoik. She grew up in Sauk Rapids, MN, and graduated from Sauk Rapids High School, Class of 1981. In 1983, she moved to Leesburg, FL where she was employed as the assistant manager at Red Lobster in Orlando. Nancy returned to Minnesota in 1998 and settled in Little Falls. She was currently employed at IWCO as a Quality Assurance manager. She enjoyed dancing, horseback riding, reading, camping, playing cards, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. Nancy was a very outgoing, strong and bubbly person. She made friends easily with most anyone she met. You never dared her to do something, because she would do it for sure. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shaun (Cheyenne) VanScoik, Eric (Yvonne Holtslander) VanScoik, Jerry (JoAnne Ritter) VanScoik, Melissa (John Reignier) VanScoik, Jessica VanScoik and Bradly VanScoik all of Little Falls; significant other, Rod Bemboom of Sauk Rapids and his sons, Luke, Lance, Lee and Landon; mother, Shirley VanScoik of Little Falls; siblings, Jeff (JoAnne) VanScoik of Little Falls, Wanda (Jim) Reed of Longville, MN, Catherine (Rick) Mead of Pierz, MN, Edward (Megan) VanScoik of Little Falls, MN, Thomas VanScoik of Little Falls, MN, Judith Christle of Little Falls, MN; 5 grandchildren, Landin, Gage, Kaidence, Mason, Alexis and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Elmer VanScoik; infant brother, LeRoy VanScoik; grandparents, Edward & Carrie VanScoik and Walter & Catherine Delles.
