Michael Mar

Michael W. Mar, 62 year old resident of Harding, MN died Sunday, December 13 at the Harding Place in Harding, MN. Mass will be held Wednesday, December 16 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN with Rev. David Maciej. Burial will be held at Fort. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church on Wednesday. Michael was born January 31, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN, he grew up in Excelsior, MN. As a child Michael was an avid Little League Baseball player and an excellent basketball player. He also enjoyed fishing, skating and his pony jerry. He graduated from Benilde High School in 1965. Michael enlisted in the Army and served his country as a Private E-1 Manheim Germany prior to serving in Vietnam. Michael has resided at the Harding Place in Harding, MN for the past 14 years until his death. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Mar of Grants, NM, Joanie Holst and husband, Brian, of Wayzata, MN, Carole Wilson and husband, Douglas, of Northfield, MN; nephews, Michael Wilson of Farmington, MN, Nicholas Wilson and Ryan Wilson both of Northfield, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Catherine (Barrett) Mar.
