Michael Lodermeier, 24 year old resident of Pierz, MN formerly of Little Falls, MN passed away June 17 as the result of a farm accident. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 23 at 11:00 A.M. at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. Friends may gather from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home and from 9:30-11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at a later time. Michael Melvin Lodermeier was born November 21, 1987 in Little Falls, MN to Jerry and Laura (Maslowski) Lodermeier. Michael grew up in the Little Falls area where he graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 2006. He was a very active participant with Flyer Wrestling at an early age. Michael wrestled in the Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament in 2005 and 2006 for the Little Falls Flyers. He was also a member of the Little Falls Flyers Football team and played Little Six Baseball for the Sobieski Skis. During his time in high school, he worked as a farm hand on the Roland and Julie Pekula farm and several other area farms. He also worked for the Swanville Locker while in high school. Michael has been employed at Woitalla Service Station in Harding, MN, since August 1, 2006 as a mechanic and truck driver. He enjoyed Tough Truck Competitions. Michael and Monica had recently bought a home in the Pierz/ Genola, MN area where he enjoyed gardening, yard work and his hobby farm. Michael enjoyed working on his vehicles and collecting vehicles. He was active with the Tuesday night softball league in Little Falls, MN, where he played for Zylka's Red Bull Bar. He also played Friday nights in Pierz, MN for Patrick's Bar and Larry Schmidtbauer. Michael also enjoyed dart leagues and polish horse shoes with family at the 12 Mile Tavern and the Polish Palace. Michael was an avid deer hunter, card player, especially smear, and fisherman. He had just recently caught a thirty pound carp on Little Swan Lake in Pillsbury, MN. He enjoyed collecting and picking agates and collecting old money. His family will remember him for his great sense of humor, life of the party attitude and easy going personality. He treasured his time spent with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Melvin "Mick" Lodermeier and Richard "Duke" Maslowski; uncle, James Lodermeier; aunt, Lori Maslowski and cousins, Amber LeBlanc and Kayla Maleski-Lodermeier. Memorials are preferred to the family of Michael Lodermeier.
