Mary (Przybilla) Marshik 97, year old resident of New Hope, MN formerly of Pierz, MN died Friday, February 23 at the North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 27 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN with Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call form 4-8 PM on Monday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and from 9-10 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rosary will be said at 4:30 PM, Parish Prayers at 7:00 PM and Knights of Columbus at 8:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home. Mary was born October 21, 1909 to the late Joseph and Martha Przybilla in Pierz, Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. She attended school as young girl in the Pierz area. She was united in marriage to Wenzel Marshik on June 12, 1928 in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. The couple lived on the family farm until moving into Pierz, MN in 1965. She resided in Pierz, MN from 1965 until 1995. in 1995 until September 2006 she resided in a few assisted living facilities when She moved into North Ridge Care Center in September of 2006 residing there until her death. Mary was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Pierz, MN where she was a Christian Mother. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, cooking, listening to hymns and had a wonderful green thumb. Mary is survived by her children, Bernard Marshik of New Hope, MN, Ernest Marshik and wife, Carol of Pierz, MN, Clifford Marshik and wife, Bernice of Pierz, MN, Arlene Stangl and husband, Richard of Pierz, MN, Shirley Lardy and husband, Herbert of South St. Paul, MN, Mardell "Delsie" Moore and husband, Charles of St. Louis, MO, Aletha "Lee" Braun and husband, Robert of Sauk Rapids, MN, Carol Bergland and husband, Paul of Maple Grove, MN. sisters, Mildred Proell of St. Cloud, MN and Joretta Hohesiel of Pierz, MN. 30 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wenzel; brothers, Joseph, Tony, Walter, Edward, George, Ryamond and Alvin Przybilla; sisters, Cecelia Malinowski, Alice Hoheisel, Leona Jendro-Saehr; son-in-law, Edwin College; daughter-in-law, Viola Marshik and grandson-in-law, Chris Perry. Arrangements are pending with the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service of Pierz, Minnesota.
