Mary Jendro, age 66, of Brainerd, formerly of Little Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 of complications from lung cancer at her son's home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Nicholas Landsberger officiating. A private interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012 and 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mary Louise Lakin was born on August 29, 1946 in Cloquet, Minnesota the daughter of William & Mary (Shebly) Lakin. She grew up in Brainerd, MN, and graduated from Washington Senior High School, Class of 1964. Mary lived in various places throughout her life including, Brainerd, St. Cloud, Las Vegas, NV and Fort Ripley. She worked at Amour in St. Cloud, had her own businesses selling cars and then furniture and appliances. While living in Las Vegas, she worked at Tom Terry Homes and then Sun Valley Homes. She enjoyed playing cards and loved the bright lights of Las Vegas but always came back to fish and play in Minnesota. Her family will fondly remember her taking her "secret" with her. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Curtis (Nancy) Jendro, Jeffrey Jendro and Angela (Carl) Jendro-Terry; grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Garret Johnson, Jesse Jendro, Milissa Jendro, Ashley Jendro, Kelly Jendro and Lydia Jendro; ex-husband, Curtis Jendro; siblings, William Lakin, Robert Lakin, Anne Lakin and Florence Lakin; special family friends, the Jendro's, the Strom's, the Will's, the Goebel's and the DeMarre's and many other friends and relatives too numerous to mention. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Milissa Vivian Jendro.
