Mary Gottwalt

Mary Gottwalt, age 43, of Royalton, MN, died Wednesday, May 19th at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN, with Rev. Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with a rosary at 4:30 P.M. and a parish prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue AT THE CHURCH on Monday from 9:00 - 10:15 A.M. Mary Lou Delores Fussy was born on August 5, 1966 in Little Falls, MN, the daughter of Donald & Delores (Sobania) Fussy. She grew up on a dairy farm southwest of Bowlus. She attended school in Upsala graduating with the Class of 1984. She then went to St. Cloud Technical College where she received a degree as Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed at Centra Care Health Plaza in St. Cloud, Sterling Park in Waite Park and was currently employed at Family Medical Center in Little Falls. Mary was united in marriage to Steven Gottwalt on February 28, 1987 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus. The couple was blessed with two boys, Michael in 1987 and Brian in 1989 and raised them on their farm east of Royalton. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. She also taught CPR courses in St. Cloud for a number of years. Hobbies and interests include crafts, fishing, camping, reading books, working in the yard and going to garage sales. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister and was always willing to help anyone at any time. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steven of Royalton, MN; sons, Michael (fiance, Ashley Schneider) Gottwalt of Royalton, MN and Brian Gottwalt of Royalton; parents, Donald & Delores (Sobania) Fussy of Bowlus, MN; siblings, Elaine (Chuck) Duret of Bowlus, MN, Paul Fussy of Bowlus, MN, John Fussy of Bird Island, MN and Richard (Cindy) Fussy of Bowlus, MN; mother-in-law, Carol Gottwalt of Rice, MN; brothers-in-law, Dan (Diane) Gottwalt of Rice, MN, Chuck (Sharon) Gottwalt of Rice, MN; sisters-in-law, Carrie (Chris) Moulzolf of Pierz, MN, Becky Schyma of Foley, MN and Sarah (Alan) Wilczek of East Bethel, MN and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents and father-in-law, Joseph Gottwalt. Arrangements are with Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service of Royalton, MN.
