Mary Ann Stumpf, 80 year old resident of Lester Prairie formerly of Royalton, passed away on Tuesday, February 11 at her daughter’s home. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday at the church. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church basement.
Mary Ann Scepurek was born on March 28, 1944 in Little Falls to the late Michael and Emily (Eggert) Scepurek. She attended District #45 grade school and graduated from Little Falls Community High School with the class of 1962. Mary Ann Scepurek was united in marriage to Melvin Stumpf on August 3, 1964. The couple made their home in Royalton. Mary Ann worked side by side with her husband, where they owned and operated Bowlus Liquor. She was also a homemaker, raising the family while working various jobs. Mary Ann last worked at EZ Stop in Royalton. She lived for the past seven years with her daughter; Charlotte and son-in-law, Randy, due to declining health. Mary Ann loved visiting with family and friends, crocheting, gardening, knitting, needle work, and crafty work. She loved sharing her crafts with the Legion customers while she was there while Charlotte was working, playing cards especially, smear, trips to the casino with the family and praying the “Our Father”. Mary Ann was a beautiful soul and she loved everybody.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jenny (Derek) Eidenshink of Little Falls, MN, Debbie (Gary) Wenner of Royalton, MN, Charlotte (Randy) Bruns of Lester Prairie, MN, Allan (Pam) Stumpf of Royalton, MN; grandchildren, Matthew (Crystal) Wenner, Michael (Amanda) Wenner, Nicholas (Rhea) Klitzke; great grandchildren, Alexis, Reese, MaKenna, Emma, Lillie and Haley; siblings, Margie (Reuben) Sufka, Theresa (Joe) Kuklok, Rita (Pat) Bieniek; sister-in-law, Betty Scepurek; brother-in-law, Fidalis Kroll and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; son, Steve and granddaughters, Samantha Koll, Stephanie Koll; siblings, Sylvester Scepurek, Maggie Kroll and Jerry Scepurek.
