Marvin Waite

Marvin Waite, 74 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Tuesday, June 2 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with Bob Mueller officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Monday at the funeral home. The burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN at a later time.

Marvin Waite was born June 29, 1940 in Cherry Hill, Virginiato the late Elmer and Louise Waite. He attended school in Virginia.He served his country in the United States Army from July 23, 1957 until his honorable discharge on July 22, 1963. Marvin was united in marriage to Alexia Waite on January 20, 1983 in Little Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Little Falls, MN. He worked at Larson Boats and retired in 2010 after 20 plus years of service.Marvin enjoyed the following activities and hobbies, camping, fishing, watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Viking and Washington Redskins. He treasured spending time with his friends and family above all else.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Patty (Paul) Skinner of Arvada, CO, Michael (Kathy) Gerjets of Mt. Airy, MD, John Gerjets of Columbus, OH, Danny Gerjets of Indiana; siblings, Elmer (Beverly) Waite of Colonia Beach, VA, William (Yun) Waite of Fredericksburg, VA, Claudia Cramer of Fredericksberg, VA, Janice (Walter) Judd of Luray, Virginia; son-in-law, Steve Gustafson of Herman, MN; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alexia Waite; daughter, Barbara Gustafson; parents, Elmer and Louise Waite; siblings, Joyce Withers and Jake Waite.
