Martin was born on June 20, 1939 to Andrew and Anna (Mrozik) Wagner in Grenville, SD. He and his family moved to Little Falls. Martin was united in marriage to Dorothy Anderson on October 24, 1959 at St. Adalberts Catholic Church in Little Falls. Together, they raised their children on the dairy farm in Royalton. Martin also worked for Hennepin Paper Mill for 30 years, was the airport commissioner and was on the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery board for 52 years. He enjoyed selling raffle tickets for the church bazaar. He had a great commitment to his family being involved in the Our Lady of Lourdes community. Martin was a chauffeur for his children to all of their sporting events, band practices, and to school. He truly lived his dreams through his kids. Martin enjoyed giving airplane rides and having a bird’s eye view of the farm. He was always helping others and always had a joke to tell. As Martin would say, “How do you talk to a fish? Drop it a line.”
Left to cherish Martin’s memory are his children, Julie Warrington of Adams, NE, Cathy (Kent) Loge of Kasson, MN, Mary (Brad) Kloss of Las Vegas, NV, Karen Schowalter of Tacoma, WA, Claire Wagner of Rockford, MN, Patty (Keywan Riahi) Wagner of Perchtoldsdorf, Austria, Jim (Beth) Wagner of Le Sueur, MN, Marty (Christa) Wagner of Brainerd, MN, and Ginny Foxx of St. Louis, MO; siblings, Rose Schelonka of St. Joseph, MN and Stanley (Mary) Wagner of Royalton, MN; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
